BMS retrofit · Erfurt-Mittelhausen
Connected systems. Clear insights.
At Zeitfracht Medien’s Erfurt-Mittelhausen site, cunnect supports the step-by-step modernisation of the building management system. The project focuses on automation stations ISP-02 and ISP-03: BACnet/IP and cunnect.bridge provide access to existing data points for visualisation in Loxone. The result is an additional, read-only overview of heating, cooling and ventilation systems that helps the technical team understand day-to-day operation.
The challenge
The existing B-Con.net building management system covers numerous technical systems. The retrofit makes selected data from automation stations ISP-02 and ISP-03 available in an additional, read-only plant overview.
The focus is heating with a combined heat and power unit and boiler, heating circuits, cooling, air-handling systems and machine exhaust ventilation. Measurements and states need to be assigned clearly to the relevant plant components.
Data-point lists and plant schematics connect the existing automation with the new views. Temperatures, operating states and signalling data points are shown within the technical context of each system.
Our approach
Data from both automation stations is accessed through BACnet/IP and cunnect.bridge. EDE information and plant documentation support the checking and structuring of data points in Loxone Config.
Loxone plant views bring heating, cooling and ventilation into a shared interface. Measurements and states are assigned to the corresponding components, making the relationships between plant sections easier to understand.
The focus is read-only visualisation. It provides an overview of the existing equipment without changing setpoints or control parameters. This keeps the distinction between the existing controls and the additional visualisation clear.
