Thoughtful upgrades for an existing home.
The existing automation in this home was revised using Loxone and supported over several years. The work brings lighting and DALI scenes together with shading, room control, door communication and central operation. Gate control and scheduled automatic operation of the pool pump are also integrated. The focus is on connecting existing technology, clearly assigning functions and adapting the system as the building changes.
Lighting, climate & controls
A room function schedule provides the basis for coordinating switches, lighting scenes and indoor climate. Touch and Touch Pure controls complement the app and a tablet visualisation. Lighting combines separately switched areas, dimmable DALI luminaires and RGBW mood lighting. Shading takes account of sun position, weather and room sensor data; heating and cooling functions are operated to suit each area. Window and door states are included in the visualisation and selected notifications. Central switch-off functions and consistent controls complement the room-specific settings.
Integrating existing technology
The upgrade includes checking and adjusting the Loxone configuration, assigning inputs and outputs, and integrating existing components. Door communication with video and audio, together with gate control, is operated through the shared interface. Automatic pool pump operation was integrated using a schedule. When the DALI ceiling luminaires were subsequently replaced, the new devices were commissioned and the existing lighting scenes reassigned and tested. Software updates and function checks support the installation’s ongoing development, keeping changes to luminaires and controls coordinated with the existing logic.
