Connecting lighting and room climate with Loxone

In an urban villa in Erfurt, we connected existing EnOcean technology to a Loxone controller. The focus was on integrating lighting actuators, temperature sensors and heating circuits into a shared configuration and user interface.

Dimmers, universal actuators and other wireless components were paired and assigned to their functions. Heating connections and room temperature sensing were also configured. The technical work included coordinating user controls and updating the configuration as the installation changed.

The challenge

Reusing existing wireless technology
The installation included EnOcean components for lighting and other switching functions. These needed to be identified in Loxone, assigned clearly and linked to lighting control, taking the existing actuators and interfaces into account.

Bringing lighting and heating together
Room temperatures, heating circuits and window states needed to work within a shared control logic. Sensors, outputs and room assignments had to be coordinated. A clear visualisation supported operation and helped organise the functions.

Technical integration

EnOcean actuators in Loxone
EnOcean dimmers and universal actuators were paired and integrated into Loxone lighting control. Additional EnOcean components for wall controls and switched outlets were configured. This brought existing wireless actuators into a shared higher-level configuration.

Temperature sensing and heating circuits
Room temperature sensors were paired and heating outputs configured. The heating logic also considered window states. User controls and room names were coordinated in the visualisation. Configuration and wiring documents recorded the technical assignments.
