Home with pool
Loxone Smart Home · Erfurt
One home. One connected system.
In this home with a carport, pool and garden, Loxone brings the building technology together in one integrated system. Lighting, shading, indoor climate, access and audio work together. Solar PV, battery storage and EV charging are integrated into shared energy management. Central control coordinates comfort, security and energy use – from everyday life indoors and charging the electric vehicle to managing the pool and garden.
Comfort & indoor climate
Presence and daylight control lighting scenes, dimmable luminaires and night-time orientation. Shading responds to sun position, room temperature and weather, also helping to limit summer heat gain. Individual room control coordinates heating and cooling with occupancy and preferred temperatures. Window contacts help avoid unnecessary energy use. Compatible ventilation can respond to air quality and humidity. Scenes such as “Good morning”, “Leaving home” and “Good night” combine these functions into clear routines that can be adjusted manually whenever needed.
Energy & EV charging
Solar generation, household consumption, grid import and battery state of charge provide the basis for energy management. The Loxone Energy Manager allocates available PV surplus according to defined priorities, such as battery storage, hot water, a heat pump or EV charging. A minimum battery charge can be taken into account. The vehicle can charge using surplus power or receive priority when needed. Load management adapts charging power to the available electrical capacity. Compatible meters and inverters supply the measurements, while the app displays energy flows and consumption. Dynamic tariffs can inform the strategy where suitable integration is available.
Access & security
An Intercom, NFC access and compatible door or gate drives can form a shared control concept. The entrance, carport and outdoor lighting respond to authorised access and appropriate scenes. Window and door contacts display their states; presence simulation can incorporate lighting and shading. Smoke, temperature and water sensors enable coordinated warnings. Camera images can be included in the visualisation through suitable interfaces. Events can trigger app notifications and visual or acoustic signals. Permissions, notification routes and the professional integration of the relevant security equipment are planned individually.
Garden & pool
Outdoor, pathway and terrace lighting respond to brightness, use and time of day. Irrigation operates in separate zones and can consider weather, soil moisture or rainwater tank levels. Pool filtration and circulation pumps, lighting and compatible heating can be integrated. Operating periods and temperatures are coordinated with demand; suitable loads can use available solar power. Status, faults and manual controls remain accessible in the app. The pool equipment retains its manufacturer-provided protection functions. Water treatment and measurement systems are integrated only through suitable devices and supported interfaces.
Audio & everyday control
Multiroom audio combines music, room groups and central scenes. The doorbell, alarm clock and selected notifications can use the audio system. Loxone Touch controls bring the main functions together in each room; the app adds detailed control, status and personal adjustments. Central functions switch off defined loads when leaving and activate the desired operating mode. Guests benefit from straightforward controls, while personal favourites and schedules add comfort. Lighting, shading, climate and audio can be triggered together, reducing the need to operate every function separately.
Technology & monitoring
The Loxone Miniserver provides central control. Tree connects suitable wired components, while Air adds compatible wireless devices. Interfaces such as Modbus or DALI integrate supported energy, climate and lighting equipment. A structured network and clearly documented inputs and outputs simplify operation and future extensions. Energy and status data are visualised clearly, with targeted fault notifications where required. Documentation, configuration backups and coordinated software maintenance form part of the concept. The system is designed so that key functions operate locally and everyday control remains straightforward.
