Connecting hotel software and building technology
At 36 Pho Co Hotel & Suites in Weimar, digital hotel processes meet an existing Loxone building automation system. Our focus was the technical assessment of the installation and the development of a connection between the RoomRaccoon property management system and Loxone access management.
The resulting cunnect.keyless software interface processes booking data and generates access codes assigned to the relevant stay. We also examined the existing lighting, room temperature and control functions to establish a technical basis for further development of the installation.
The challenge
Linking bookings and access rights
RoomRaccoon and Loxone use different data models and interfaces. The booking period, room assignment and user management need to be mapped to one another so that suitable access permissions can be created from the reservation data.
Assessing the existing automation
The assessment covered the Loxone configuration, controls and the interaction of heating, air conditioning and lighting technology. The focus was on understandable control sequences and the integration of existing components.
Technical development
Interface and code management
For cunnect.keyless, we developed server-based processing of booking data and a connection to Loxone user management. Code generation takes existing codes into account and excludes easily recognisable numerical patterns.
Web interface and system testing
The developed solution includes a web interface for viewing generated codes and provision of these codes by email. Interface tests, logging and checks of the existing Loxone functions complemented the technical work.
