Guest villa Friedrichroda

Friedrichroda · Access & doorbell systems

Connected access and doorbell technology

At the guest villa with a garden in Friedrichroda, the project focused on setting up access and doorbell equipment. The installation combines Nuki with a keypad and Loxone components for the access panel and doorbell signalling.

An existing chime was connected using Nano IO Air. An Air Base and Tree Extension add wireless and bus connections. The project shows how central control equipment and decentralised components were brought together in an existing property.

The challenge

Bringing access and doorbell signals together
The guest villa needed electronic door operation and doorbell equipment. This required the connections of different components to be coordinated with the existing doorbell installation.

Connecting central and decentralised equipment
The signalling also needed to include an existing chime. The connection between the distribution board and the decentralised doorbell component therefore had to be planned alongside a suitable power supply. Combining wireless and bus connections provided a technical structure suited to the existing installation.

Technical setup

Nuki, keypad and access panel
Nuki with its keypad and a Loxone access panel with a doorbell function were installed. The necessary connections were wired and the components incorporated into the planned control infrastructure.

Air and Tree connections
An Air Base and Tree Extension were installed in a sub-distribution board, with the power supply provided centrally. The existing chime was connected using Nano IO Air. This brought the distributed components together while retaining the existing doorbell signalling.
