Staatliche Gemeinschaftsschule 8 Otto Lilienthal in Erfurt uses its website as a central source of information for everyday school life. Our work combines migration of the existing website to a new hosting environment with ongoing technical care and selected content updates. This includes enrolment forms, support for publishing substitution timetables and management of the school’s public listing.
Website & content
Information and documents need to remain easy to find for families, pupils and teachers. Support therefore includes selected content additions to the existing website. Enrolment and transfer forms are placed in the relevant sections. Questions about publishing substitution timetables prompted a technical review of the transfer route between school software and web hosting. Connection settings, FTP access and the publishing options available through Indiware were examined. The transfer of the school’s Google listing was also supported, bringing technical care together with the practical publication of school information.
Hosting & technical care
The existing website was migrated from Strato to All-Inkl. The website and domain moved to the new hosting environment while retaining the familiar internet address. Technical support covers coordination between hosting and website operation, as well as functional and content requests. The timetable upload review examined server and client settings, a direct FTP connection and local firewall settings. Ongoing support continues under a maintenance agreement. The focus is the existing school website and the routes used to make its information available.
